About

Have you ever noticed how most websites’ “about” page will talk about the owner/developer in the third person, even though you know that the owner is actually writing said page? Yeah, I’m not going to do that. And that’s something useful about me you should know: I’m a realistic, personable person. :D

Anyway, I’m a lot of different things to a lot of different people. I’m a son, a father, a brother, an uncle. I’m a scout leader, a little league fundraising chairman, and an Engineer (but disregard that last fact because it’s useless in regards to the website you are on now). I’m an up-and-coming writer trying to make my way in the e-world, but I’ve been writing ever since I could pick up a pencil. I wrote my first novel when I was only twelve years old (80 pages in a little spiral bound notebook) and have been writing ever since.

My true love is literary fiction, but I tinker about with some science fiction and fantasy (which I begrudgingly accept only because one novel I’ve written has elves in it). I’ve had a lot of different jobs in my life, been through a lot of ups and downs, and look forward to each day for whatever it may bring.

I started this site because I wanted a place where I could post my thoughts on personal development, but I am starting to realize that this site is destined for more than that and can’t hold it back much longer. I use this space to challenge myself for your amusement and critique. I’m easy to get along with, and I believe in freedom of expression/speech (and I am one of the few people who actually say that and mean it).

My dream is to make a living from my writing, and that is where you come in. If you receive any sort of value from these pages, then you know what to do. Shoot me an email (via the contact form) or make a donation.

Thanks for stopping by.

James
